2. Description of Services & Free Access

Insect Identifier provides automated optical recognition tools to assist users in identifying arthropod species (including insects, spiders, butterflies, moths, beetles, and pests). Our core web identification features, species summaries, toxicity ratings, and educational guides are provided free of charge.

3. User Submissions & Photo Rights

When you submit or upload a photographic image to our scanner:

• You retain all ownership, copyright, and title to your submitted photograph.
• You grant Insect Identifier a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to transmit, process, and display the image solely for the purpose of generating identification results and improving algorithm accuracy.
• You warrant that your submissions do not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or rights of any third party.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

• Attempting to scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, or harvest the Services or underlying AI models using automated bots or scrapers without prior written consent.
• Uploading malicious files, viruses, malware, or unlawful content.
• Interfering with, overloading, or disrupting server infrastructure or network operations.
• Using the Services for fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activities.

5. Intellectual Property

All text, graphics, logos, website layout, database schemas, code, and user interface elements on insectidentifier.org are the intellectual property of Insect Identifier and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and unfair competition laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties
